I came back with good news!
I finally install the Boss GT-100 drivers in WIndows 10. What problem installing this drive? The Windows 10 does not support the Windows 8 driver. When I thought about updating my Windows 8 to 10 aversion my big concern was that the fear of the Windows 10 does not accept the hardware that possessed regarding the music interfaces that I have.
The Boss (Roland) so far did not provide a driver for Windows 10 to Boss GT-100. The windows seem to recognize the pedal in Windows 10, but it's fake. The driver is in test mode, even if you go to Windows devices manager 10 you will realize that it has an exclamation on the GT-100 interface.
The GT-100 has a number of programs to change their settings that have simplified this task and are essential for your pedal. The Boss Tone Studio is one of these interfaces.
What is the driver of the problem? Well, without the driver installed correctly these interfaces do not work!
I got initial help in http://gt100.mediamanhost.com/w10-driver-workaround.html.
The problem is that by following the link at this link, one of the commands that it provides in step 2 is not successfully executed, and why? The Windows 10 (at least my 64 bits in Portuguese) is much more closed the installation of unsigned drivers by the manufacturer that Windows 8. And in this way the command "bcdedit -set TESTSIGNING ON" not work fine and displaying an error message even if that runs as an administrator user. The message states that you are not authorized to run this command.
But ... if I'm running an installation of driver provided by Boss (Roland) because the driver was not digitally signed?
The reason is simple! The instruction provided at the link above this asking you to change one driver line for acceptance in Windows 10. And so the driver signature was losted. Windows 10, at least in my installation to disable this rule I had to make a boot restarting the system with the "Left Shift" key. When performing this boot with this key down the system restarting showing a different menu.
Screen that appears when the system reboots when we press the "Left Shift" key ...
Select the Startup Settings option, so the Windows introduced the next screen ....
In this screen you need choose option 7 ....
This option will allow 7 changed the drive and install it ....
Download drive the Boss GT-100 for Windows 8, expand the file in a directory. In the structure below modify the file RDIF1149.INF by adding the following code ...
[Roland.NTamd64.6.2]
;; Windows 8
% RDID0149DeviceDesc% = RDID0149Install, USB \ VID_0582 & PID_0189; GT-100 Ver2
[Roland.NTamd64.7]
;; Windows10
% RDID0149DeviceDesc% = RDID0149Install, USB \ VID_0582 & PID_0189; GT-100 Ver2
And save the file.
Ready now can update the Windows driver ....
Go to the Device Manager in Windows 10 already with the bracket connected to the computer via the USB port, and the screen we should see is this ...
Click on the GT-100 interface with the left mouse button and choose the option to reinstall driver, and choose the folder in which modified the line in the above (64bits folder). Windows 10 will start the process of driver reinstallation, but it will display a message in a highlight with red frame in order for confirmation to install an unsigned driver.
Confirm the installation anyway. Now ready the Boss GT-100 driver is installed correctly and much more stable.
